why is the snow leopard “ounce”

Ounce is the traditional name for the snow leopard. Although not really in common use anymore it is still an acceptable alternative name for the species.

I assume since “snow leopard” wouldn’t have fitted into the space it made sense for the person who made it to use ounce instead.

✿ all i ever wanted was the world

Is that bow taped onto that snake

I’m pretty sure that’s kind of a fuckin’ bad thing to do

u fuckin serious m8 it was literally a pencil eraser sized boop of double sided tape gently laid on her head so the bow would stay on

i promise you my twelve foot long, 30-pound burmese python survived a boop of tape to the noggin

Norwegian forest cats are the best.
They look like little snow lions.

MORE REASONS WHY NORWEGIAN FOREST CATS ARE THE BEST:
The colloquial term for them is “skogkatten”.
They’re also called “fairy cats” in Norway, because they’re so pretty.
They run down trees headfirst.
They’re fricking gigantic and they purr really loud.
They literally walk over snow like motherloving Legolas.
In Norse mythology, skogkatts pull the goddess Freya’s carriage.
Who doesn’t want a carriage pulled by cats?
Viking cats. End of story.

Oh what a terrible thing it appears that I haven’t reblogged these glorious beasts this year yet

I want fanart of these kittehs dressed as vikings :D

Abercrombie & Fitch’s No-Go Logo

newyorker:

Abercrombie & Fitch C.E.O. Mike Jeffries announced that the company will drop its once-ubiquitous logo from its clothing. Vauhini Vara reflects on the decision:

“Kids today seem less interested in the aesthetic of conformity-through-consumption that Jeffries, and the company, still seem to advocate. They have other ways of expressing who they are—through the language they use on social media, for example.”
